日の出前、真っ赤に染まった空を見たとき、私は自分の命を感じました。太陽が昇ると音も光も一緒になり、全てが輝き始めます。そして一日の終わりには、沈む夕日がその眩い光で世界を染めるのです。始まりの色と終わりの色、一瞬の色と永遠の色。生命の美しさがそこにありました。
糸島富士と呼ばれる可也山、どんな時もじっと動かずに私たちを見守ってくれています。広がる海、寄せては返す波に太陽の光が溶け込んで輝きを放つ様子に、自分の揺れる心も美しく思えるのです。私はこの美しい糸島で、美しい心をもった人達に出会いました。ここに住む人たちの、自然と調和した日々の営みが美しい風景を創っている。糸島の本当の美しさに気が付いて、私は自分が見る景色を絵で表現したいと思いました。
どんな人の心にも、忘れられない美しい景色がきっとあると思います。その心は、人が人らしくあるために必要な心――私が糸島で出会った「思いやり」や「優しさ」だと信じています。絵を見に来てくださった方々が自分の中にある美しい景色、光に出会い、新しく始まる一日の力になっていくことを願っています。

I felt alive when I saw the red sky before sunrise. Everything starts shining after the sunrise. The world is aglow with the setting sun at the end of the day. There are the colors of the beginning and the colors of the ending. There are the colors of the moment and the colors of the eternal. I find the beauty of life in these colors.
Kaya Mountain is often referred to as Itoshima Fuji Mountain. It is always looking over us. When I see the big ocean, restless waves and the sunlight, I feel even my shaky mind is beautiful too. I met so many people with beautiful minds in Itoshima. The people who live there, create this beautiful view with their normal life activities in harmony with nature. I wanted express Itoshima’s view in my painting after I realized its true beauty.
Everyone has at least one unforgettable, beautiful sight in their heart. I believe kindness and compassion are very important as a human being.
I hope you will find your own beauty and the beautiful light in your mind someday. I wish my paintings will help you to find it.
